Chapter 2 of 39 · Start
Your home page
The home page is where every visit starts. It's laid out in columns: Winston and the business on the left, the work Winston has drafted (posts, emails, ads and media) in the middle, and your tasks and documents on the right. A quick chat is always one click away. Most days, the home page is all you need.
How it works
What you can do here
- See at a glance how the business is doing and whether anything needs you
- Approve or reject every post, email and ad Winston drafted
- Ask Winston to draft something new right now
- Run Winston's daily plan and briefing on demand
- Choose whether Winston waits for your approval or works on his own
- Chat with Winston without leaving the page
1. The Winston column
The left column is Winston himself and a snapshot of the business.
- 1
Read his mood
Next to Winston's face is one word and a line saying how things stand, such as all clear or that drafts are waiting. If the line is copper, something needs you.
- 2
Check the mode
The small label beside Winston's name says which mode he's in: manual, guided or auto.
- 3
Press Night task
Night task runs Winston's daily plan and briefing now instead of waiting for tonight. Winston plans the day's work and writes fresh drafts. It can take a minute or two.
- 4
Look at the business snapshot
Under Business you'll see revenue for the last 30 days, your offerings, whether payments are set up, and your website.
2. Auto mode: how much Winston does alone
This is the most important setting on the page. It decides whether Winston's drafts wait for you.
- 1
Leave it off to begin with
With Auto mode off, every draft waits in the work column until you approve it. This is the best way to get to know how Winston writes.
- 2
Turn it on when you trust him
Press Auto mode. Winston now approves his own drafts as he writes them, so they're ready without waiting for you. You still publish them yourself.
- 3
Turn it off at any time
Press Auto mode again. New drafts go back to waiting for you.
Auto mode is the same switch as Autopilot on the Marketing Launch Center. Change it in either place.
3. Reviewing the work column
The middle column holds everything Winston has drafted, sorted into Posts, Emails, Ads and Media.
- 1
Read a draft
Social shows the posts Winston has written. Email shows how many outreach and support emails are drafted and approved. Ads shows his ad concepts.
- 2
Approve or reject
Drafts waiting on you also appear in the Tasks column with a quality score, and Approve and Reject buttons. To drop a post straight from the Social list, press the small cross beside it. Winston learns from every decision.
- 3
Ask for a fresh one
Use Draft post for a social post, Cold outreach for emails to prospects, Support replies for customer emails, and New ad concept for an ad. Each one asks Winston to write it now.
- 4
Send emails from your inbox
If you see Connect Gmail, connecting it lets Winston's emails go out from your own address once that channel is live.
- 5
Find your media
Images and videos you've made appear under Media. Open Studio to make more.
4. Tasks and documents
- 1
Work through Tasks
The right column lists Winston's tasks with the ones waiting for review first. The heading says how many are left to review, or All clear.
- 2
Approve from the list
Each waiting task has Approve and Reject buttons right on it.
- 3
Ask for new tasks
Press New tasks to have Winston plan the day's work now.
- 4
See the history
Press See all tasks or Task history to look back over everything Winston has done.
- 5
Open your documents
Under Documents are the plans and papers Winston has written, such as the business plan. If there isn't one yet, press Write the business plan.
5. The quick chat
- 1
Open the chat
Type in the box that says Ask Winston anything.
- 2
Start fresh
Press New chat to clear the conversation and start a new one.
- 3
Go full screen
Press Open full chat to continue in Winston AI, where you have every mode and your chat history.
On the main hub, Company Overview adds a second view that totals every client company from its CRM record.
Try it yourself
Doing is the fastest way to learn. Open the tab and try these:
- Press Draft post and read what Winston writes. Approve it if you like it, or reject it.
- Press Night task and see what Winston plans for the day.
- Ask the quick chat: "What should I focus on this week?"
Common questions
Does approving a post publish it?
Approving marks it ready. Winston never posts for you: you publish it yourself, usually with one click from the Marketing Launch Center, then mark it posted.
What happens to a rejected draft?
It's set aside, and Winston uses your decision to suggest rules for his memory so he writes closer to what you want.
